Osstivia SNEDDS

A high bioavailability evolution of Fructus Ligustri Lucidi Extract. Osstivia uses a Self nano-emulsifying dietary delivery system (SNEDDS) to increase the bioavailability and permeation of lipophilic botanical compounds shown to actively promote bone growth, remodeling, increase bone density, increase osteoblast activity, and inhibit osteoclasts.

June 19th Formula Update (Pre-Order)

As of June 19th, Osstivia has entered a temporary Pre-Order stage for the next two months to undergo a major formulation upgrade. We are transitioning from a standard FLL ethanolic extract to a strict Standardized Extract verified by HPLC to contain 15-20% Oleanolic Acid. This new formulation utilizes a standardized oleanolic acid extract and delivers a higher concentration of total extract per mL compared to the legacy version. Note: The formula still maintains 3X more Fructus Ligustri Lucidi than previous batches. Pre-order fulfillment will operate on a strict first-come, first-served basis, and all orders placed now will ship at the end of the two-month production window.

Ossialabs uses a Self nano-emulsifying dietary delivery system (SNEDDS) that is shown to increase the bioavailability and permeability of active lipophilic botanical compounds. It is shown in literature to also help bypass first-pass metabolism and leads more compound to be usable.

The SNEDDS Advantage

Average supplements cannot bypass first-pass metabolism and end up destroyed during digestion. We are actively advancing the science with what we have, unlike the standard supplement industry.

  • Straight to the Bloodstream. Ossialabs uses a Self nano-emulsifying dietary delivery system (SNEDDS) that literally increases the bioavailability and permeability of active botanical compounds. This helps bypass first-pass metabolism and leads to a good amount of the botanical compounds going straight to the bloodstream.
  • Superior to Powders. The supplement industry uses raw plant extracts or dry powder extracts that are in many cases very ineffective. By using pre-formulated delivery systems, more product can be used by your body at a time.

FLL Pathway Breakdown

From the Documentation: A deep-dive into the specific molecular pathways modulated by Fructus Ligustri Lucidi (FLL) and how Osstivia amplifies these effects.

Osstivia acts as an amplified, highly bioavailable version of FLL. By utilizing a SNEDDS formulation, it bypasses digestion to saturate these critical pathways far more effectively than standard extractions or powders.

  • Wnt/β-catenin & BMP-Smad Signaling. FLL active compounds strongly upregulate Wnt and BMP-2 pathways. This triggers the expression of RUNX2 and Osterix (Osx), the master transcription factors for differentiation. In simple terms: it signals your body to increase the production of new matrix.
  • OPG/RANKL/RANK Axis. FLL significantly improves the OPG/RANKL ratio. By downregulating RANKL expression and upregulating Osteoprotegerin (OPG), it prevents the activation of NF-κB and MAPK pathways. This effectively suppresses excessive tissue breakdown.
  • PI3K/Akt Pathway & Antioxidant Defense. FLL activates PI3K/Akt signaling, which promotes cellular survival and proliferation. It also engages antioxidant defenses (like the Nrf2/HO-1 axis) to protect cells from oxidative stress and apoptosis, ensuring your cells remain healthy during heavy mechanical loading (chewing).
  • Calcium Homeostasis (TRPV6/VDR). The compounds modulate the parathyroid hormone (PTH) and Vitamin D receptor (VDR) networks. This upregulates TRPV6 to dramatically increase intestinal and cellular calcium absorption, ensuring the raw materials are readily available when the jaw is strained.
  • The Osstivia Synergy. While traditional FLL requires massive doses to survive gut processing, Osstivia's SNEDDS formulation delivers these specific active constituents directly into the bloodstream. When paired with mechanical strain, these amplified pathways are targeted directly at the site of the mandibular condyle and surrounding facial sutures.
FLL cellular response to growth factor stimulus

Research Note: The "cellular response to growth factor stimulus" shown in the graph above is clear scientific evidence that FLL actively boosts existing mechanical stimulation, explaining exactly why it serves as such a powerful biological catalyst when paired with hard chewing.

Mechanisms & Science

Important: Osstivia is both dose and time dependent. Consistent application is required to trigger the pathways.

Based on data. To include preclinical and emerging clinical data:

  • Clinical Human Trials. A clinical trial involving women taking FLL powder documented significant improvements. While this study utilized a basic milk powder delivery, it demonstrates massive potential. By utilizing SNEDDS to bypass first-pass metabolism and send compounds straight to the bloodstream, we are engineered to achieve even greater results.
  • Targeted Pathways. Osstivia acts directly on critical pathways. Deep pharmacological research shows FLL strongly influences the RANKL-RANK/TRAF6-NF-kB/MAPK-NFATc1 axis, suppressing marrow adipogenesis and increasing ALP for mineralization. It also engages the PI3K/Akt-RUNX2/OPN and MMP-mediated ECM turnover networks.
  • Canonical Wnt & BMP-2 Modulation. The enhanced, 3X concentrated Fructus Ligustri Lucidi in the formulation modulates canonical Wnt/β-catenin and BMP-2/Smad pathways, promoting differentiation while decreasing osteoclast drive, Nox4/ROS, and oxidative stress.
  • Calcium Optimization. Studies show FLL improves calcium retention, absorption, and deposition by upregulating the PTH/VDR/TRPV6 axis, creating a superior mineralization environment.
  • Natural Anabolic Muscle Support. Osstivia contains compounds native to FLL like Ursolic Acid, Oleanolic Acid, and Salidroside. These botanical components function as a natural anabolic, providing promising evidence for supporting muscle health and function.

Beyond Bone: Systemic Health

While Osstivia is engineered for advanced delivery, the highly concentrated Fructus Ligustri Lucidi (FLL) extract offers a massive spectrum of whole-body health benefits heavily documented in scientific literature.

  • Gut Microbiota & Digestion. FLL has been shown to positively regulate gut microbiota diversity and significantly increase the production of beneficial short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs), creating a healthier digestive environment.
  • Antioxidant & Anti-Aging Defense. The botanical actively mitigates oxidative stress by engaging the body's natural Nrf2/HO-1 antioxidant pathways. It also modulates Sirt6 and TMAO levels, proteins strongly linked to longevity and protecting against cellular aging.
  • Systemic Calcium Balance. Beyond localized formation, studies show that FLL promotes overall calcium retention and absorption throughout the body, ensuring your system has the building blocks it needs.
  • Macrophage & Immune Regulation (Ursolic Acid). Native to FLL, Ursolic Acid is an invaluable natural nutraceutical that heavily regulates macrophage activity. It actively suppresses pro-inflammatory cytokines and promotes a highly robust, balanced immune response.
  • Hepatoprotective & Metabolic Health (Oleanolic Acid). Verified by HPLC to contain 15-20% Oleanolic Acid, this standardized extract acts as a profound liver protectant. It significantly aids in metabolic conditioning and helps regulate lipid metabolism efficiently.
  • Neuroprotection & Adaptogenic Shield (Salidroside). The formulation naturally contains Salidroside, an elite adaptogenic compound proven to reduce physical fatigue, protect the central nervous system against oxidative damage, and support cognitive vitality.
